PDIA Toolkit Available in Japanese!
BSC’s PDIA Toolkit has been used by practitioners and governments around the world to tackle complex challenges. To ensure this tool is accessible to as many people as possible, we have translated the toolkit into Arabic, French, German, Indonesian, Khmer, Portuguese, and Spanish. We are excited to announce that the toolkit is now available in Japanese.
This milestone wouldn’t have been possible without the dedication of Katsutoshi Fushimi and Tomoaki Tanaka. We are deeply grateful for their hard work in bringing this translation to life.
What is PDIA?
PDIA (Problem Driven Iterative Adaptation) is a practical, step-by-step approach for tackling complex challenges. The process involves:
- Breaking down complex problems into root causes
- Identifying entry points and taking action
- Reflecting on lessons learned
- Adapting and iterating along the way
The PDIA toolkit is organized into eight sections, each introducing key concepts and worksheets to help you apply PDIA to your own local context. While the process itself is not linear, we recommend reading through the sections in sequence to understand the steps and build a strong foundation.
Whether you are new to PDIA or looking to deepen your understanding of the approach, the toolkit is a comprehensive guide designed to meet you where you are. Download the PDIA toolkit.
