Strategies for Inclusive Growth (SIG)

Policymakers struggle to generate shared prosperity, as economic growth remains elusive or non-inclusive for too many.

Existing development strategies often fail to achieve inclusive growth. Pathways to prosperity are continuously evolving. Strategies for Inclusive Growth (SIG) offers a redesign of economic policy that centers on context-specific approaches to diagnose economic challenges and to build the capability to implement economic change.

SIG is a one-week, on-campus executive education program that rethinks the practice of economic policy, from design to implementation. Led by Professor Ricardo Hausmann and Professor Matt Andrews, the program places inclusion at the heart of economic policy to provide powerful tools to identify the root causes of economic inequality. The program will equip you with new frameworks to design strategies that address constraints and mobilize teams required to achieve shared prosperity and inclusive growth.

In this program, you will join leading Harvard experts and peers from around the world to lead the change process to create effective strategies for inclusive economic development in your context. The program will equip you with the framework, tools, and networks to drive inclusion-driven economic policy to advance shared prosperity and how to apply it to your own economic growth challenge. By the end of the program, you will better understand how to build capabilities for growth and lead the change process of implementing a new growth and inclusion strategy.
