Marla Spivack is a Former Research Fellow at Building State Capability who worked with us from 2019-2022. She was also the Research Manager of the Research on Improving Systems of Education (RISE) program leading an array of research activities focused on synthesizing the findings of RISE country team work.
Prior to joining BSC, she worked on social protection, rural development, and micro-credit programs with government agencies and the World Bank in a range of contexts including India, Mexico, and Zambia. She has also contributed to work on migration and development with researchers at the Center for Global Development. She holds a Masters in Public Administration in International Development (MPA/ID) from the Harvard Kennedy School and a BA in Economics from Tufts University.
