Kenya

In Kenya we led one project and trained several practitioners. See below for country related content.

Project

BSC led a PDIA for Education Systems online action learning program for Education Development Trust, funded by United Kingdom’s Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO).

PDIA for Education Systems

September – December 2022

The team from Kenya focused on:

Problem: Low learning outcomes in the arid and semi-arid (ASAL) regions in Kenya.

Key takeaways:

  • There are two ways of looking at a problem: solution-driven approach, and the problem-driven approach. The latter is more effective in addressing a problem.
  • There is a benefit of working in a team, and the more you engage the real stakeholders, the more the team’s ability to solve a problem effectively.
  • It is important to pay attention to political, technical, and cultural facets of a problem.
