Daniel Barjum joined Building State Capability as a Research Fellow in 2020 to work on BSC’s engagement with the government of Honduras, his home country. More recently, he has written case studies about digital health in Croatia, educational reform in Indonesia, and about emergency response in Ecuador. Daniel has also served as a Teaching Assistant for our Implementing Public Policy, Leading Economic Growth, and Bloomberg Harvard Cross-Boundary Collaboration Executive Programs.
Prior to joining BSC, he worked on structuring long-term policies and projects in energy and infrastructure for the Honduran government. During his tenure he had the opportunity to engage with and learn from numerous national and international stakeholders at all levels. This experience taught him about the challenges of delivering good governance and management in complex settings.
Daniel holds a Master in Public Administration in International Development (MPA/ID) from the Harvard Kennedy School and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University.
