Anisha Poobalan Eng joined Building State Capability in 2016 as the Project Coordinator for our engagement with the government of Sri Lanka, her home country. She coached local government teams as they worked on diversifying the economy and tackling investor related challenges. She has also served as the PDIA and IPP Community of Practice Coordinator where she helped create and facilitate community events, peer learning, and faculty sessions. Most recently she has been a Teaching Assistant for the Implementing Public Policy Executive Program, PDIA for Education Systems Program, and Bloomberg Harvard Cross-Boundary Collaboration Program.  

Prior to joining BSC, Anisha worked at a local NGO, private research company and a gender justice organization in Sri Lanka. This diversity in experience allowed her to engage and learn from a range of people groups. She strives to empower, encourage and equip others with the tools they need to tackle complex problems they face in their contexts.  

Anisha has a Bachelor of Arts in Economics with a concentration in Development and a Minor in Sociology from Seattle Pacific University.
